At St Giles House, guests may make use of our city centre parking facilities, with a 24-hour permit available for only £10.
We appreciate that travelling to an unfamiliar location can be challenging. particularly when satnav directions are unreliable. To assist you, we have provided a step-by-step guide on how to reach our car park, along with a drive-through video for your convenience.
directions:
The car park is located at the back of the Hotel off the road named Pottergate. Access to our car park is between a large white/grey building named Vantage house (Office building) and an orange-bricked building (Resident homes). You must PASS the drive-through archway, turn right and go through a black gate which is open for guests to enter.
Once in the parking area, turn right, and you will see a sign on the wall for St Giles Car Residents, followed by the slope going between the trees.
1 – Take the exit for Cleveland Road.
2 – Continue on Cleveland Road and take the Left turn onto Willow Lane after ‘St Giles on the Hill’ church.
3 – Continue to the bottom of Willow Lane and stop facing the pink house on Pottergate.
4 – Turn Right onto Pottergate. Please note you will see a sign that suggests this area is for bikes and taxis only; however, you can use this road to access the car park.
5 – Once on Pottergate, you will continue for around 400 yards until you see a sign for St Giles House Hotel car parking on your Right. If you miss the turning for the car park, you can turn back as Pottergate is a two-way street.
6- Please make sure to park at our residents’ only car park. This area will be on your right once you enter the St Giles Parking. It is marked by our 'residents only' sign right before a slope. Please pass the sign and continue between the trees. You will notice that some of the ground markings say SGH and a number.
Our permit is only valid for this area so please make sure to double-check with our staff that you have parked in the right area.
